Pursuit Of Happiness

You don't quite feel really happy do you ???
OK, Not a problem being a computer science student i generally relate problems to coding questions and
start thinking of order n or order 1 solutions (it means an efficient solution to the question at hand)
well in  computer science they teach backtracking.so lets backtrack..
you were a child studied in a school. your daily routine would be something like this.
woke up early got ready for school..ha ha hi hi hu hu all day long with friends ...(we miss it right ???)
thinking of nick names of teachers..getting scolded but only to be cheered up by a friend few minutes later...
in the tiffin break you used to plan how to defeat the cricket team of that mohalla whom to play whom not to,well so many subjects but only studied 4 days for each subject every year ...and yes in free time all we cared about was ICC cricket ratings if today there was no ODI  for team India.

In short, we were all so happy..then we grew up slowly....and the single most thing we learnt was "Competition"..you compete or you will be thrown out..compete for marks..compete for ranks, compete for admission, compete for promotions, compete for a good career, for a good life...in short compete for "HAPPINESS".

well weren't you happy to start with.so why this competition now :-A process which takes much more from you than what it really gives back.you lose your peace, many times you miss out on good moments with friends, you work hard time and again you try try try but all you achieve is a chance to try again for something different . is it really that necessary to compete.is it really that necessary to race with each other when the paths chosen by god for each one of us is different and its fruitful, you can trust not me but god on that.

obviously,i have started a war in your mind .you must be thinking so what are we supposed to do..just chill do nothing ..enjoy life..??..well my answer would be partly yes chill, enjoy life but no you have to do not only something but great things...because you are an entity and an important one in this universe and before your take your  last breath, in this lifetime you must serve the purpose for which you were sent.

so whats the purpose..do you know...do i know..nobody can say...but i can give one analogy..you see in dark nights, amidst the sea waves the sailor blindly follows the northern star for direction..well you are the sailor.your life is the sea...and your heart is the northern star..follow it and it will take you where you were supposed to go.the true happiness which you deserve .

Now let me introduce you to another process its called completion:-it gives you much more than you can anticipate and takes away nothing .we can say its a godly process by its virtue.
so whats completion ,it just opposite of competition.
you sometimes very easily get better off somebody in many situation.for example you performed better in school test than your friend but have you tried helping him with his problems..and next time he performs better i bet you will feel happier ..that's human nature.its like wave theory when two waves meet the amplitude gets doubled...

so we should strive towards doing meaningful things in life not just for the sake of being ahead..because horizon is ahead and is simply never there.but you can savor the journey.you can do good things which really gives you happiness..which consequences will be ,in favor of world in favor of human race..
we should consider something as achievement if we really succeeded in serving the purpose for which we started it not merely for moving ahead in competition..because competition is never ending...its like a series of bottlenecks you pass through one painstakingly and you have another in front of you.

At the end, choices are still yours as its your life..you want an infinite race with the process of competition or a fulfilling journey through the process of completion.
